Christopher Merlan

Chief Digital Officer and Executive Vice President, ASCO


Chris Merlan is a passionate and results-driven digital executive with over 25 years of experience leading digital transformation and operational excellence initiatives, with a particular focus on the strategic application of technologies like AI. As Chief Digital Officer and Executive Vice President at ASCO, Chris spearheads key projects that leverage technology to improve customer experience and solve complex business challenges.

Ryan Strandlund

Associate Director, Grassroots Advocacy, ASCO


Ryan Strandlund is the Associate Director of Grassroots Advocacy at the Association for Clinical Oncology (ASCO), where he is responsible for empowering ASCO members and other cancer care advocates to educate lawmakers on issues impacting cancer care nationwide. He brings over 17 years of experience in healthcare government relations, including spearheading grassroots efforts for the medical device industry at the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed). Ryan has a bachelor's degree in political science from Colorado State University and lives in Virginia with his wife and daughter.
